Setting up your development environment

This document assumes that you are setting up an environment for carrying out simulations on a freshly-installed Windows XP installation, and that you have a copy of the CTI Project DVD. We also assume that you own a licensed copy of MATLAB, Simulink and SIMBAD.

MATLAB, Simulink and SIMBAD

Install MATLAB and Simulink normally. Unzip the D:\Simulation\simbad\Simbad.zip and execute the Simbad.exe installation program it contains.

Note:
The D:\Simulation\Simbad_V4 folder appears to be a dump of a pre-existing SIMBAD installation.

Open MATLAB. From File -> Set Path select Add with subfolders and select the SIMBAD installation folder. Save your settings.

SIMBAD is now installed, which you can verify by typing simbad on MATLAB's command line.
